Managing Challenging Behaviour: Positive De-escalation Techniques
Outline

A workshop which gives attendees an insight into more challenging behaviour. The anger cycle is discussed and attendees are given a range of positive de-escalation strategies.

Strategic Lead in Behaviour & Safety Training
Outline

This practical and analytical course equips a senior leader to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to take on the role of 'in house' Behaviour Improvement Consultant. The focus is on taking a proactive lead on behaviour for learning across the school and enabling all staff to also be strategic, proactive and positive in how they manage behaviour. It is about capacity building and action planning for outstanding behaviour across the school.

Performance Coaching – A Tool for Personal Professional Improvement & Development
Outline

This course examines how performance coaching can be used to support/challenge colleagues to improve their performance in the classroom and their impact as leaders across the school. It introduces participants to the practical skills of outcome focused performance coaching and it includes a practical session coaching a colleague.

Positive Behaviour Management for Midday Assistants (MDAs)

3 workshops which look at the role of MDAs as 'teachers' of behaviour and children's social and emotional learning at lunchtime, the basics of positive behaviour management and managing challenging behaviour and developing lunchtime as a learning experience. The third session gives attendees a practical tool to positively manage behaviour at lunchtime - MDAs draft a bespoke Dining Hall Management Plan and a Playground Management Plan.

Positive Lunchtimes – A Learning Experience
Outline

A practical workshop which looks at individual behaviour This builds on the core training in Positive Behaviour Management for your Midday Assistants (MDAs) and develops their role to actively promote learning through play at lunchtime. It also upgrades your lunchtime provision by creating active learning zones and a specialist facility for vulnerable children who find lunchtimes challenging.

Safe Lunchtimes – Resolving Conflict through Restorative Approaches
Outline

Lunchtimes are when disputes and conflicts happen and these can spill over into the afternoon session if they are not resolved. This package focuses on developing the techniques of conflict resolution through Restorative Approaches (sometimes called Restorative Justice) and it builds on the skills of Positive Behaviour Management.
